Basketball Skills Camp

Mike is in his glory...Ali is in a basketball skills camp that the Mona Shores girls basketball team members put on for girls ages 5-6! Ali has always been daddy's girl from day 1!! Mike has always taken her to basketball games at the high school and now has her come to his practices at the middle school while he is coaching the 8th grade girls basketball season and Ali absolutely loves it!! So to now see her participating in a sport that her daddy loves is pretty cool=) Ali has a few friends there with her including Chloe. Some of Mike's former basketball players at the middle school that are now high school players know Ali and so both Ali and the girls get a big kick out of seeing each other again. I'm no expert but she is pretty good at basketball!!

Sleepover

Ali had her first sleepover last Friday at our house. Her friend Chloe came over and the girls had a riot!! They went to the basketball game with Mike Friday night and then came home and played and slept downstairs! I think it was close to midnight before they fell asleep, they were WIRED!! It was so fun to watch them having so much fun together....reminded me of when I was little=)

SNOW!!!!!

Winter is definitely more enjoyable if you can get outside and enjoy the snow, especially with kids=) The girls went sledding with some friends on Saturday at Lake Harbor park. They had a great time and Katie was loving it because it was mostly her pre-school friends. Then a few days later we were able to extend our weekend and had a snow day so Mike took the girls out again and built a nice big fort for them to play in our yard. We have gotten so much snow in the last week that we even have a huge hill at the end of our driveway thanks to the snow plows. So the girls are definitely getting some use out of their snowsuits this year=) Lauren was able to go out for a few minutes also for her first time in the snow.

Lauren 11 months old

Really, only one more month until Lauren is 1 year old??? Where did the time go? Her personality is really starting to come out. She is getting braver every day on walking on her own. We are sure she will be cruising around by her birthday next month=) She loves both Ali and Katie and gets very excited when she sees them both but there is something about Ali that she just always wants to be around her. Ali will talk to her and Lauren will babble back and it sounds like she is understanding everything Ali has to say and is having a conversation back with her. Can't wait to celebrate her 1 year birthday next month!

New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve this year at the Wahlberg's with the Conrad family and had a great time. It's so great to ring in the new year (well, at least until 10:00 pm)with wonderful friends. The kids all get along so great together and they had such a fun time playing with each other. Emma, Ali and Brayton played Mario Kart on the Wii and some of the adults joined in, Katie and Cullen found a playroom downstairs and played babies with each other, while Molly, Autie and Lauren found a big toybox of toys to dig into. I made New Year's hats that were chocolate sugar cones that the kids enjoyed with some ice cream. About an hour before we went home, the kids changed into their PJ's=)
