Ludington State Park and Hamlin Lake

To say we had a great time would be an understatement. We had an AMAZING time with two very special families! We camped at Ludington State Park, the Pines loop, with the Conrads and then the Wahlberg family was at their cottage on Hamlin Lake so they came over and picked us up on the boat everyday. Our first night we spent at the cottage and the kids went tubing, sea dooing, jumping from the docks, kayaking and using the water trampoline. We also had a fantastic dinner called Frogmore stew, delicious=) The second day we went to the Hamlin Lake dunes and found a little beach for the kids to hang out at and play in the water. Later that night when we went back to the campground, we went in the dunes behind our campsite and let the kids wander and play. We were able to see Lake Michigan from those dunes and watch the sunset....beautiful! The third day we went back to the Hamlin dunes again then went to The Chuckwagon for pizza and House of Flavors for ice cream. Our last day before checkout we went for a family bike ride throughout the different campground loops that Ludington State Park has available to camp. There is so much more to do that we will have to check out next year when we go! Definitely a trip that was a highlight to our summer=)
